Received my Road ID today!

A RoadID is an awesome piece of gear that not only looks good but can save your life.

There are a few different versions, some are laser-engraved with your personal identification with a range of materials and colours for the bracelet.
There is also Road ID Interactive that provides a number for medical staff to access your Emergency Response Profile.

I have my name, address, contact numbers, the acronym NKA (No Known Allergies) as well as DOB and a Slogan “LiveStrong”.

Great little piece of kit. Check them out at http://www.roadid.com

Three Podcasts that are mandatory.

Been thinking about what to post over the last few weeks and thought I would share some of the podcasts which are mandatory listening for me.

This Week in Startups http://thisweekinstartups.com/ (TWIST)

Hosted by Jason Calacanis who is the founder and CEO of www.mahalo.com and has STRONG opinions about anything and everything. What I do like however is that he has great guests who have either been successful in tech startups, are currently being successful in startups or are in the process of launching a startup.

If Jason does not like something he lets loose with sniper accuracy. He is often not too far off the mark (where there is smoke!) and has conviction and motivation to make changes. Check out http://openangelforum.com/ which he set up as he was REALLY pissed with Keiretsu Forum charging start-ups.

I listen to TWIST on the iPhone via a download in iTunes. They do stream live video on ustream.tv.

This Week in Tech  http://twit.tv/twit (TWIT)

This is one of my favs. Hosted by good guy Leo Laporte and joined by a bunch of tech journalists around the globe, it covers all the latest trends in high tech.

Lots of LOL moments, great in-sites, rumours and gossip about the latest gadgets. Real easy listening, a must.

Again I listed to TWIT on the iPhone via a download in iTunes. TWIT also streams live Video if you have the time.

Diggnation http://revision3.com/diggnation/

Hosted by Kevin Rose (founder of digg.com and tea junky) and Alex Albecht (entertainer, comedian, game junky).

Diggnation covers some of the hottest topics and stories submitted to www.digg.com which to be honest is not the reason why most watch it. These two guys are smart, quick, funny and have a HUGE following.

Recently the show should have been renamed “This Week in Beer Consumption” which has been laugh out loud stuff.

I watch the Video Podcast on the iPhone again downloaded by iTunes.

There are lots of free podcasts streaming daily which are as good and even better than the ones I follow so start searching, great alternative to the idiot box!
